KitchenAid 36" 5 Burner Induction Cooktop with 12 Heat Settings
This model is discontinued and is no longer available. The following information is provided for reference purposes only.
This feature packed 36" induction cooktop by KitchenAid combines the precision and fast response similar to gas cooking with the convenience of electric. Induction cooking uses electromagnetic energy to directly heat ferromagnetic cookware, so heat is applied faster and the burner elements cool faster without coasting like a traditional radiant heat cooktop. Induction cooking is fast and safe to use, since the cooking surface is not directly heated and cools to the touch quickly after cookware is removed. Pan detection automatically selects the correct burner area for your cookware, and turns off the heating element when the pan is removed.
This model features five burner elements for increased multitasking ability. With 4800 watts of power available on the largest element, you'll have ample ability for frying and rapidly boiling large pots of water. The Melt and Hold setting automatically uses low power levels to melt delicate ingredients to keep a prepared dish warm without burning or scorching.
Performance boost mode allows you to exceed the maximum heat setting for one burner for up to 10 minutes by borrowing available power from unused burners. This is perfect for rapid boiling of a pot of water or searing a steak. The available simmer setting automatically selects a low power level to maintain a constant simmer without having to worry about boiling over.
Touch activated digital controls on this model make the top surface flat and sleek. With no knobs protruding this cooktop is easy to clean, and there is nothing to catch your pots and pans on. You have absolute control with 12 selectable power levels for each burner.
Bridge mode locks the output of two of the burners together to heat a longer piece of cookware such as a griddle. This convenient feature eliminates temperature differences or hot spots typically encountered when using a griddle.
Induction cooktops utilize a powerful magnetic field to directly heat ferromagnetic cookware. Please be advised that induction cooktops only work with stainless steel, clad, or cast iron cookware, or cookware that is specifically advertised as induction compatible. Induction does not function with aluminum cookware. Induction may interfere with nearby electronics; Please consult with your doctor if you use any implanted medical device such as a pacemaker before using an induction appliance.

Induction Cooking - Utilizes a powerful magnetic field to heat pots and pans directly, with very little wasted energy compared to traditional radiant heat. Cookware reaches temperature and responds to control changes quickly, more like a gas stovetop. The cooking surface cools quickly after the cookware is removed. Note that induction cooking works only with ferromagnetic cookware such as stainless steel, cast iron, or cookware specifically marked as induction ready. |
